We purchased a new home 15 months ago, initially there were some issues with home which were addressed by A1. We have since had issues with exterior linear, they were contacted and they visited and havent been back.
There have been other issues with detailing/trim on fixtures, leaking roof which was made out to be our fault. Sheet joins of the gib in rooms had split
Having had 2 other brand new homes previously I did expect teething issues with the home however i did not expect so many and the lacklustre response by A1 Homes
Having lived in this home for 15 months i would definitely not recommend A1 homes to anyone, their level of finishing both inside and outside of the home is poor, their service after the house was purchased has been mostly a 1 way street on our part.
I realise that A1 homes are at the lower end of the quality/price scale of new homes however after you spend a considerable amount on a new house you expect it to be at least a certain standard.
Should we ever purchase a new house again, I would certainly shop around and would definitely pay a bit more for a better quality home from the likes of GJ Gardner, Platinum homes and Stonewood
We have advised friends that were looking to build a new home to stay away from A1 Homes
