Welcome to New Shoots Kerikeri! Found on the main road into town, our eye-catching early childhood centre is easy to spot and access for many Bay of Island families. Our architecturally-designed centre reflects the local culture and blurs the boundaries between indoors and out.
Taking advantage of the winterless North’s climate, our spacious outdoor area gives children endless hours to discover nature, challenge themselves through outdoor play, and learn to love our planet. Out here, tamariki can run, climb, splash, and play to their heart’s content.
In the middle of our purpose-built centre you’ll find a big, beautiful pohutakawa, with all the pods facing this striking tree. Each room features an abundance of sunlight, excellent ventilation and a home-like aesthetic. Our sustainable resources and countless opportunities for open-ended exploration inspire creativity, curiosity and self-discovery.
Supported by warm and responsive kaiako, this is a safe and nurturing space where your children will develop from curious infants, to confident toddlers, to independent preschoolers. Watch your children grow, learn and thrive right before your eyes.
This beautiful, bespoke centre is about more than early childhood education. It also offers a space designated for local community services with the intent to strengthen support networks and bring local people together in the heart of town.
