Method is determined to make recycling a simple, stylish part of everyday life and not a chore. Owners Steven and India Korner are from design disciplines which drive the core values of Method. They are determined to provide beautiful products that work.The Korners returned from Melbourne in 2011 to start a family in the New Zealand and purchase their own business. At Total Bins, based in the Wairarapa and Welling- ton they travelled New Zealand in a maxi van selling wheelie bins, bags and recycling labels to supermarkets, rest homes, holiday parks, schools and business - from bins for the Curly Tree Whitebait Company in Haast to sanitiser to retirement homes in Auckland. India and Steve were surprised at the poor quality of recycling solutions available for modern offices. They saw sophisticated corporate environments where the recycling system was an afterthought – in conflict with the aesthetic created by architects and designers.
