Hi, my name is Chris Hernon. I own and manage Lancashire Stonemasons, which provides handcrafted stonework for homes and businesses throughout the greater Auckland region.
Chris has a well established reputation for quality workmanship and attention to detail, and his level of skill ensures the finished stone work surpasses client’s expectations.
Chris first started laying stone at 16, and finished his apprenticeship at 19. He was a lecturer of masonry at Hopwood Hall College in the UK. Chris has perfected his skills by being self-employed since he qualified, working as a contractor until coming to NZ in 1997. In 1998, Chris started own company called Lancashire Stonemasons.
Over the past 15 years Lancashire Stonemasons have been responsible for many stone works and features in the greater Auckland region including the seawalls at Kohimarama Beach, columns for a listed building in Waikaraka Park, the Lone Star Restaurants, and a number of luxury houses and large properties.
As a result of his skillful stone masonry work, Chris has many satisfied customers who often refer him to others requiring stonework.
